Hi, my name is Jenna, I am a mom of two little girls and a photographer by heart.
What made me turn to lifestyle photography was realization that my favorite photos of my own people aren't the ones with forced smiles and everyone looking at the camera. It's the moments when my baby snuggles into me, even if her face is hidden, or when my husband makes our daughters laugh with a silly face. Emotion is what’s more important when we look at those pictures especially years later. Lifestyle photography involves posing but it's about embracing and living through the moment with your family. Poses are just guidelines, a starting point. I love capturing some documentary moments as well!
Is your toddler a tornado? Been there, done that with my own. Instead of stressing about how she won't sit still, let's turn her love of exploring into our biggest adventure and remember her exactly as she was at that point in her life. Does your preschooler hate to smile? I think deep expressions on children are some of the most beautiful and timeless of all. Plus, after some fun games we will play, I bet we will sneak one out.
Time is a thief, friends. Our babies grow up too fast, and I'm here to freeze those precious moments in time.
